The cast Alnico 5 button magnet with red coating offers high heat resistance and medium magnetic pull, and comes with a keeper to retain magnetic strength. The magnet provides a maximum of 1.5 lb. of pull strength to a perpendicular surface (pounds of pull strength does not apply to shear force). The magnet can withstand temperatures up to 975 degrees F and has a 0.170" diameter center hole. Resistance to demagnetizing is low and resistance to corrosion is high.
