PULL is tested on a flat steel ground plate 1/2" thick. If your steel is thinner, coated, or has a rough or rusty surface, the pull may vary.
Other sizes and finishes can be manufactured to your specifications. All round bases and some channels and sandwiches are available in a tough, black powder coat finish. Black vinyl coating is also available if your application should require it.
Standard Round Base Magnetic Assemblies use ceramic magnets. Custom configurations are available using Neodymium or Flexible Magnet. Additionally, hooks, clips, or studs can be added, thereby allowing you to easily hang or attach other items to the magnet. The through hole can also be customized (requiring slightly longer leadtimes) which allow you to attach a wider variety of items to the Round Based Magnetic Assembly.
Vinyl boots are also available to "pad" the magnet from the surface you are attaching to. Most commonly you see vinyl boots used when attaching Round Based Magnetic Assemblies to cars (emergency lights or funeral flags). These help to protect the surface from scratches.
